What is Chinese New Year to You?
Didn't the Lunar New Year pass really fast? well that was what i felt. this weekend was really well spent. i had really great fun with my family (including extended). lots of New Year goodies and red packets (:
i must say my family (extended) has did a really great job keeping our relationship close together. even with our parents' aunties, uncles and our grandparents. and for that, i feel really fortunate. there were also lots of new year goodies- enough to bind me to my bed for 3 days. (im down wit flu already-again!) sigh, i hope i get well soon. im starting work next friday already. at queensway. my boss just called me saying that i was employed. i hope he doesn't change his mind. but he sounds good thou, so no worries xD.

First and foremost, Red Packets. ive still gotta more to come, today is only Day 2. actually, ive got like over 30 already la, its just under each other. i didn't bother to lay them out nicely. the money doesn't matter anyway.

well let me explain this tradition to the non-chinese folks. the Yu Sheng is actually made of common items like vegetables, carrot stripes, fish, cabbage, spices, sweet sauces and crispy crackers. the items will be mixed together by tossing them in the air and as high as possible. (hoping, for better wealth, health and higher status or achievements). When tossing, the people will shout out 4-chinese words like 身体健康, 步步高升.. (good health and stuff) :D

we did it because it was kindaf boring, visiting all the people. all the "kids" went to the lift lobby where there were benches and we took this before my aunty and her family came.

the new outfits which i bought were not worn. hehs, i seriously got no idea why i kept changing into the different tops in the morning. my cousins stayed over that night, so they were playing cards in the morning. when i appeared in front of them with my first top, they were like "ok, not bad leh". then, i locked the door and changed i into my intended outfit- a striped cardigan with black vest and my pipe fit trousers. then they were like "eh, this nicer."
in the end, i just settled with this from IP Zone -.-'' so yeah.
